A highlight: On Nov. 29, UNMC will host Gretchen Finke Patras who has worked in a training and development role for more than 30 years, including managing the training function for a Fortune 500 technology company before starting her own business.

For the past 19 years, she has operated GFP & Company, Inc., a one-person consulting firm, which has allowed her to work with a variety of industries, including railroading, medicine, banking, computer companies and others. Her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s in business management have provided a solid foundation for helping individuals and teams achieve their best performance.

Finke Patras will present “Receiving Feedback Effectively,” a useful professional competency regardless of professional role. There will be two Nov. 29 sessions, one at UNMC and one at UNO.

Register for this and any other events through Employee Services on the Education Tab under My Registrations.

Elective options are in addition to regular Re-Imagining U programming. All attendees should meet with their supervisors before enrolling in sessions to discuss overall development goals and ensure business needs can be met and that all employees get an opportunity to attend the Re-Imagining U learning events.
