Campus address book changes coming

On Jan. 19, all university contacts in the University of Nebraska Foundation, University of Nebraska at Kearney, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska Central Administration will be updated in Outlook’s address book. This is the final step in IT’s move to Office 365.

UNMC and Nebraska Medicine contacts in Outlook’s address book will not be affected. Based on initial testing, IT officials don’t anticipate any issues. However, if bounce backs occur after Jan. 21 from emails to the NU Foundation, UNK, UNL, UNO or UNCA, there are options available to resolve the bounce backs.

If this occurs, type the email address directly into the “To” field or pick the address from the address book. If you continue to get bounce backs, delete the recent contact by clicking on the “X” by that person’s name and select the recipient from the updated address book. Also, please be aware that if your personal distribution groups include any member from the NU Foundation, UNK, UNL, UNO and UNCA, they may need to be added back to the group.
