CENTRIC offering pilot study funding

Pilot study funding of up to $50,000 is available in summer 2019 through the Center for Patient Family and Community Engagement in Chronic Care Management (CENTRIC).

A request for applications (RFA) was released on Feb. 26 and is available at the CENTRIC website. The due date for letters of intent (LOI) is April 8. For applications, the due date is June 7.

The purpose of the CENTRIC pilot grant program is to support research in any area that will support patient, family and community engagement in management of chronic conditions. The award is designed to lay the foundation for larger requests to funding sources external to the University of Nebraska. Preference may be given to those who coordinate with community partners.

CENTRIC is requesting a two-page LOI, due no later than April 8, to include:

  • Principal investigator(s);
  • Title of proposed study;
  • Study aims;
  • Significance and scientific premise;
  • Approach;
  • Investigators;
  • Anticipated impact; and
  • References (not included in the two pages).

The LOI template can be found on the CENTRIC website.
