Olson Center event to explore vaping

Susie Moore, advanced practice registered nurse with the UNMC Department of Surgery, Division of Thoracic Surgery, will speak on vaping at the next Olson Center Brown Bag, which will be held on Nov. 19 from noon-1 p.m. at the Eppley Science Center Amphitheater.

With cases of vaping-related illness popping up around the country, Moore’s presentation will educate attendees about the use of e-cigarettes and other vaping materials. Moore will discuss what an e-cigarette is and how it works, speak about the risks associated with e-cigarette use (vaping), and interpret the research on e-cigarette use and its effects on the body.

Seating is limited. Pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345 or RSVP on Engage.

Attendees can bring lunch, and simple refreshments will be provided.

The lecture is free. The cost is $10 to obtain nursing credit. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.
