New spam filtering tool to be enabled July 7

Another email spam filtering tool is about to be enabled for the enterprise.
The tool, Proofpoint End-user Digest, will go into effect starting Tuesday, July 7. This service provides enterprise personnel protection from spam and the ability to manage suspected spam.
Some of its features include:

  • Filters suspected spam before it reaches Outlook 365 accounts.
  • Provides enterprise employees to a mechanism to manage spam sent to their email.
  • Provides enterprise employees with the ability to receive notification of suspected spam.

Emails that are categorized as spam will be sent to a quarantined location independent of Outlook 365. An “end-user digest” email will be sent to employees’ inbox every day at 7 a.m. by default. This digest contains a listing of all suspected spam that was sent to an account within the last 24 hours. The End-user Digest Console allows personnel access and ability to manage suspected spam. The console can be accessed by left clicking on “Manage My Account” from the end-user digest email.

Emails that are not acted on in this quarantined location are removed after 14 days. Colleagues may opt out of receiving these digest emails through the above mentioned console.

Please continue to report any suspicious and/or malicious emails by clicking “report phish” on the email.
