Learn more about Ramadan — one of the holiest months for Muslims — during the Munroe-Meyer Institute Diversity and Inclusion Council’s May 11 presentation.

On May 11, Naser Alsharif, PhD, professor of pharmacy sciences at Creighton University Medical Center, will present “Ramadan: A Month of Fasting and Reflection.” The virtual presentation will run from noon to 1 p.m.

Dr. Alsharif is the coordinator for international relations for the Middle East and India. He has served as a curriculum consultant and as a visiting professor at a number of universities in Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Palestine, Qatar and UAE.

Dr. Alsharif is president of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (Omaha Chapter), director of the Middle East Cultural and Educational Services-Omaha, Advisory Board for Inclusive Community (Midlands Region) and board member of Avenue Scholars.
