Service anniversaries now to be recognized quarterly

Beginning this month, employee service anniversaries will be recognized quarterly. This employee recognition is for career milestones and contributions to UNMC.

Service anniversaries, which celebrate milestone years of service in five-year increments, will be marked at the beginning of each quarter. Employees who reach a milestone year that quarter (five, 10, 15, 20 years, etc.) will receive a gift mailed to their home.

Gifts for the first quarter of the fiscal year will begin shipping this week. Going forward, service anniversary gifts will be shipped on the first week of the first month in each new quarter.

The service anniversary gift will be in addition to the People Are Everything points employees already receive for their milestone years of service.

“UNMC congratulates every employee for their accomplishments, hard work and dedication. Their commitment to living out the UNMC mission and vision is what makes the campus what it is today,” said Aileen Warren, assistant vice chancellor and director of the UNMC Office of Human Resources.

The annual service awards dinner normally held in June was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Information about future dinners will be forthcoming.
