IT Academic Technologies, Faculty Development team for Echo360 workshop

IT Academic Technologies and Faculty Development will hold a "Teaching with Tech Refresh" featuring Echo360 workshop at 1 p.m. on Aug. 4. Participants will learn the essentials and get familiarized with the Echo360 ALP video platform and user library as they refresh their knowledge of the technology and tools available to help.

During this session, faculty and staff will gain the skills needed to simplify the digital-learning process and discover how to best engage learners in a hybrid classroom environment.

The session will be livestreamed via Zoom and participants also can join a live viewing party at the McGoogan Health Sciences Library’s new Faculty Commons.

Virtual reality annual meeting will explore advances in VR education

The Nebraska Virtual Reality Network for Education and Research (NeVRNER), founded by faculty from UNMC, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will hold its annual meeting from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 13. The event will be held via Zoom.

NeVRNER is a community of educators passionate about using virtual reality, augmented reality, 360 video and other technology to enhance education and research across campuses.

The annual meeting is an informal gathering for NeVRNER members and those interested in the group to share their ideas, implementation and outcomes of projects. Guest speakers from UNeMed will speak about intellectual property protection and the commercialization of educational materials. VR technology company EducationXR will share information on the latest VR technology for education and research.
