Faculty and students who are interested in developing the next series of e-learning modules are invited to apply for the 2021-2022 Funded Awards Program, sponsored by the UNMC Office of E-Learning.
Each team includes two to four students led by faculty and will receive $1,000 for project creation or student stipends, as well as access to e-learning experts, equipment and software.
Teams identify a topic to incorporate into the faculty member's curriculum that focuses on challenging content that would benefit from a more in-depth explanation. Student participants determine the type of interactivity that makes their content memorable.
"We are excited to start the next wave of funded projects," said Peggy Moore, director of e-learning and assistant professor in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. "The collaboration between student developers and faculty members has been incredibly successful in creating interactive modules that enhance student learning and make difficult subjects easier to understand."
Each project will be included on the E-Gallery, and participants will be recognized at the E-Learning Showcase in April 2021.
E-Learning announced the start of the new program at a recent informational meeting. Those who were unable to attend can watch the meeting recording.
To apply for the upcoming E-Learning Program, faculty must submit an application by Oct. 15. Award winners will be notified by Nov. 3 and projects must be completed by April 4. Questions? Email elearnlab@unmc.edu or call 402-559-8251.
