Patients, visitors and colleagues who enter Nebraska Medical Center through the main entrance to Clarkson Tower will be temporarily rerouted to the north side of the building, beginning Monday, March 21.

The main, east doors need to be replaced, and the construction will take approximately six weeks. Right now, it’s expected to reopen by Friday, May 6.

The circle drive in front of the doors will remain open for valet and drop off, but signs will redirect people to enter the building by the helipad. The north entrance also was used when parking lot construction closed the main doors back in 2018.

Screening will continue in the main Clarkson Tower lobby and access to the gift shop and pre-anesthesia screening clinic will not be affected.
