Applications accepted for midtown Omaha’s biggest fans

picture disc.Applications are being accepted for the new Destination Midtown Ambassadors Program, which is designed to engage individuals interested in revitalizing midtown Omaha.

Ambassadors will serve as a community liaisons to Destination Midtown staff about current events, issues and program opportunities in the area. Ambassadors also will assist staff in continuing to engage our stakeholders in various ways.

“Engagement is the foundation of our success in making midtown a destination of choice,” said Tawanna Black, executive director of Destination Midtown. “It also is the best way for us to be sure that we’re gaining community feedback every step of the way, and that we know ‘what’s happening in Midtown’ when you do.”

To apply as a Destination Midtown Ambassadors, complete the attached program outline and application. Applications will be accepted until April 15. For more information, contact Black at 233-7142.

Since the Destination Midtown planning study launched in 2003, more than 1,000 people have been actively engaged in helping to revitalize the heart of Omaha, Black said. The organization’s mission is to create a premier urban environment where people want to live, work, shop and play.
