UNMC has received its Final Site Visit Team Report from The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC-NCA).
As a result of its January visit to UNMC, the team recommended 10 years of reaccreditation and has approved UNMC’s request to expand distance education degree and degree completion programs.

UNMC leaders also have posted two additional items on the site:
- The final team report transmittal letter from Robert Appleson, Ph.D, associate director of the HLC- NCA.
- UNMC’s official response to the final team report from UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D.
Although the formal decision by the HLC’s Board of Trustees will be made this fall, the seven-member visiting team has recommended that UNMC’s next comprehensive visit take place in 2016-2017.
