This week, Nebraska welcomes the Baylor Bears to Lincoln and we welcome Jeff Hill, M.D., back to our panel after he took a bye week.

His fill-in last week, Iowa State fan Nicole Lindquist of public affairs, didn’t fare so well with her prediction of a Cyclone win. The Huskers won 35-7.

While Lindquist’s loss won’t count against Dr. Hill’s record, I will allow the other panelists — anesthesiology instructor Robert Zatechka, M.D., and the team of internal medicine’s Lisa Runco and Chad Kelsay — to knock one loss off their respective records to compensate for Dr. Hill’s week off. (EDITOR’S NOTE: Hey, I write the story, I make the rules.)

So Dr. Zatechka, who had a record of 5-1 before last week, now sits at 6-0. Team Runco/Kelsay were 4-2 heading into last week, now they are 5-1. Dr. Hill was 5-1 last week and remains there because of his week off.

Let’s see how the full panel sees NU’s match up with Baylor playing out on Saturday.

Dr. Hill says: “Nebraska has figured some things out. The running game has life and the short passing game looks solid. The defense is getting an attitude. I say the Huskers win again.” NU 31, Baylor 21

Runco and Kelsay say: “Team Kelsay/Runco is feeling more confident every week. We feel the Huskers have a lot of momentum going into Saturday’s game. Baylor has a very athletic quarterback that can always cause problems, but we’re thinking the Huskers are starting to gel. Baylor is 0-2 on this road this year, but both the Bears and the Huskers beat opponent Iowa State this year by 28 points. The Huskers need to take care of the ball and control the clock.” NU 38, Baylor 13

Dr. Zatechka says: “Nebraska faces a new challenge in Baylor’s mobile quarterback Robert Griffin. Let’s keep in mind that this is still Baylor. Their new coach, Art Briles has improved things in Waco dramatically with an offense that takes advantage of Griffin’s impressive mobility. Keep in mind he’s just a freshman and will have limited opportunities if NU’s offense can maintain its consistent ball control exhibited over the past few weeks. I think Griffin will continue to impress on the field but Baylor still loses.” NU 38, Baylor 24
