Campus events center available for university use

Contact UNMC Campus Events Center Coordinator Lisa Metzger Grotrian to schedule an event in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center.

The Truhlsen Campus Events Center is now available for use for university functions, as well as events for UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center.

University departments and recognized campus organizations from all four University of Nebraska campuses may now use the events center — which is on the first floor of the Sorrell Center — for seminars, meetings and other functions.

“This is a beautiful facility and we encourage university staff and faculty to consider using it for their work-related functions,” said Lisa Metzger Grotrian, the event center’s coordinator.

The center can accommodate up to 500 people depending on the type of event.

A fee or fees will be charged for all events in the center excluding white coat ceremonies, hooding ceremonies and Match Day ceremonies.

Information about the events center — including use policies, facility use fees, seating layout plans and preferred vendors — is available at the events center Web site.

Requests to book an event should be made at least one week in advance of the date.
