I Love UNMC — Gotta like those odds

picture disc.Next Thursday, we will conduct our second random prize drawing in the I Love UNMC video campaign.

Since the campaign started in November, we have had 16 entries — including three from one hyper-creative employee in the School of Allied Health Professions.

Seven of those submitted videos, including one from the creative “allied healther,” yielded prizes for their creators during the December drawing. This means those videos are out of the running for this drawing.

I’m a math moron, but even I can see that the odds of winning are pretty good for those who participate in the contest. The submission deadline for those wishing to be eligible for the drawing is 12 a.m. on Thursday.

Once again, there are some great prizes available during this drawing including:

  • A health and wellness package that includes three one-month passes to the UNMC Center for Healthy Living, and two one-hour massages and a one-hour dietary consult at the Olson Center for Women’s Health;
  • An auto package that includes four oil changes at Charlie Graham Body and Service and two $20 gift certificates at Quick Trip;
  • A Tri-City Hockey Package for Kearney participants that includes a Little Caesar’s pizza party for 10 and two tickets to any Tri-City Storm hockey game during the 2008-2009 season;
  • Four oil changes at Prime Auto Sales;
  • Three $25 gift certificates to Goldbergs Bar & Grill;
  • Three $25 gift certificates to the Dundee Dell;
  • Fifteen $5 gift certificates to The Nebraska Cafe;
  • A Husker Basketball package that includes two Husker Men’s Basketball tickets for the Feb. 18 home game with Colorado;
  • A $40 gift certificate to Applebee’s in Scottsbluff for participants in the Panhandle;
  • Four reserved seats to any Omaha Royals home game; and
  • One $10 gift certificate to Katie’s Greek Restaurant.

Also, this contest is not limited to just UNMC employees, which means anyone who loves UNMC can participate in the contest.

So quick, grab your camera, hit record and make a short video — two minutes or less — explaining why you love UNMC.

Once you have made your video, go to this Web site and submit it.

The prize winners will be announced next Friday.

Those who enter also will be eligible to win the Viewer’s Choice, 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner up prizes when the I Love UNMC video campaign ends.
