Frail elderly and geriatric syndromes are the topics for the next geriatric care conference to be broadcast live via the statewide telehealth network July 16-17.

The two-day conference is targeted to health care professionals and will focus on urinary incontinence, unintentional weight loss and failure to thrive, management of hip fractures, developing a rural geriatric assessment program and palliative care.

The conference is part of an educational series hosted by the Nebraska Geriatric Education Center (NEBGEC) at UNMC.

It will be broadcast from UNMC’s Durham Research Center to nine sites across the state via the state telehealth network.
