Donors needed for two upcoming blood drives

Appointment reminder Anyone who wants to can add their e-mail address to the schedule for an automatic reminder about his or her appointment to donate blood.

There will soon be two opportunities for the campus community to give and help ensure a supply of blood.

The Center for Healthy Living will host the first blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Three days later, on Friday, Sept. 25, the UNMC Student Senate will sponsor a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Wittson Hall.

Each drive seeks 90 donors. As of Tuesday morning, 41 appointments had been made for the Sept. 22 drive and only four for the Sept. 25 drive.

To make an appointment:

• Enter sponsor code 1199 for a schedule for the Center for Health Living; or
  
• Type 2223 for the drive in Wittson Hall.
