The last two weeks have been hard on the Cornhuskers and our panelists, not to mention NU football fans.

Our three regular panelists — and our guest panelist Rick Blum — incorrectly picked Nebraska to beat Iowa State last week.

So that leaves their records for the season at:

  • Jeff Hill, M.D., 5-2
  • Team Runco/Kelsay, 4-3
  • Rob Zatechka, M.D., 4-3

Also, our guest panelists are now a combined 0-2 on the season.

Will this week’s game at Baylor be good medicine for the Huskers and our panelists, or will the Bears bite the Huskers in Waco, Texas?

Dr. Hill says, “Not much to say this week. Hopefully pride will kick in for the Huskers. Baylor has its own problems and this is a must-win game for Nebraska. Husker receivers need to get it in gear or I may be forced out of retirement!” NU 28, Baylor 10

Team Runco/Kelsay says, “After consulting with our therapist, we have decided to ‘keep the faith!’ That being said, we have no idea which way this team will go down in Texas. We could see us getting beat, and we could also see us coming out and getting back on the right track. It is with the deepest positive vibes being sent through the universe from us to them that we pick Nebraska to win.” NU 20, Baylor 13

Dr. Zatechka says, “I think it’s safe to say all bets are off in picking Husker games. That being said, I still like NU to beat Baylor. The Bears have been stymied on offense the last few weeks with the loss of Robert Griffin at quarterback. They do still have an adequate offensive line and a good receiving corps. Really though, when has NU’s defense and an opponent’s offense been of any concern this season? The big question mark comes on offense where NU has been woefully inconsistent against BCS competition. It’s hard to say how this unit will perform.” NU 17, Baylor 10
