Surgical robots the focus of Nov. 10 Science Cafe

At Tuesday’s Omaha Science Cafe, attendees will learn about surgical robots from Dmitry Oleynikov, M.D.

Dr. Oleynikov’s presentation — “Your Doctor is a Robot” — starts at 7 p.m. at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St.

Dr. Oleynikov — associate professor of surgery and director of the Center for Advanced Surgical Technology (CAST) at UNMC — will focus on miniature surgical robots that have the capability to reduce invasiveness and minimize hospitalization time.
