Last week, our regular panelists all correctly called for Nebraska to beat Kansas.

That leaves their records on the season at:

  • Jeff Hill, M.D., 7-3
  • Team Runco/Kelsay (Lisa Runco and Chad Kelsay), 6-4
  • Rob Zatechka, M.D., 6-4

How do they feel heading into Saturday night’s de facto Big 12 North Championship game between Nebraska and Kansas State in Lincoln?

We find out below.

Dr. Hill says, “Momentum will continue for the ‘skers. K-State has weaknesses and our running game has life. I see a solid win ahead for Nebraska.” NU 31, Kansas State 10

Team Runco/Kelsay says, “We have respect for most teams, but KSU is not one of them. Bill Snyder has done a nice job getting them back from the depths and they have rebounded well from losses this season, so we’d expect for them to be ready to play. But we are confident our team will be fired up and fully prepared to play well on both sides of the ball. We like what we’ve seen recently from our offense. We believe our defense will come out with something to prove.” NU 27, Kansas State 10

Dr. Zatechka says, “K-State may be the only Big 12 team that is more inconsistent than the Huskers. They have noticeably less talent on both sides of the ball than Nebraska, but so did Iowa State. They are, however, coached by one of the true greats in Bill Snyder and always play hard for him. If NU can avoid the turnover bug, they win in a blowout.” NU 34, Kansas State 3
