Truhlsen Events Center now available for public use

The public can now rent out the Sorrell Center’s Dr. Stanley M. and Dorothy Truhlsen Campus Events Center on weeknights and on weekends.

Open previously only for university sponsored happenings, the 6,800-square-foot facility offers a versatile space to host a variety of events including weddings, conferences, receptions and more.

Members of the public can now rent the Truhlsen Campus Events Center for event such as weddings, conferences and receptions.

“This is one of the premier facilities in Omaha for special events,” said Lisa Metzger Grotrian, events center coordinator at UNMC. “We hope people will consider it when planning their events.”

The events center features:

• A large glass atrium with granite floors;
  
• State-of-the-art technology and audio-visual capabilities;
  
• A professional staff; and
  
• A convenient midtown location.

Since it opened in 2008, the events center has hosted more than 70 events including lunches, receptions, conferences, holiday gatherings, white coat ceremonies, lectures and Match Day.
