Zumba — a popular Latin and African dance based fitness program — arrives at UNMC on March 17.
Instructor Jayme Stanley will teach Zumba classes at the Center for Healthy Living on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Zumba fuses many dance styles, including salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton and hip hop to create a workout that strengthens the whole body, Stanley said.
“It’s the new Pilates,” said Stanley, who noted that Zumba is taught now in 31 countries.
The first two weeks of the class — the weeks of March 15 and March 22 — are offered free for non-CFHL members. All fitness classes are free for CFHL members.
