Budget, salaries and strategic priorities the focus June 16 forum

The UNMC budget, faculty and staff salaries, campus strategic priorities, and the effects of health-care reform on employee benefits are among the topics of two employee forums to be held on Wednesday, June 16.

Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and HR benefits specialist Joanne Watkins will speak at the forums, which are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in Room 3001 (Maisie Paustian Amphitheater) in the Sorrell Center, and at noon in the Durham Research Center auditorium.

Water will be provided at the morning forum (only water is allowed in the Sorrell Center amphitheater). Refreshments will be provided at the noon forum, and participants are welcome to bring their own lunches.

The noon forum will be broadcast to the following locations:

  • Omaha: Room 457 of Nebraska Behavioral Health Education Center
  • Lincoln: College of Nursing 307 and College of Dentistry Room 11;
  • Kearney: Room 144 of West Communication Center;
  • Norfolk: Northeast Community College Board Room; and
  • Scottsbluff: College of Nursing Western Division Room 201.
