Here’s a cool thought for you as we head into the Dog Days of Summer.
To help medical center skaters get ready for another winter on the student plaza ice ink, the Figure Skating Club of Omaha offers UNMC employees and students discounted ice skating lessons.
New UNMC skaters get a $40 discount on the lessons, which will be held at Motto McLean Ice Arena at 5015 S. 45th St. in Omaha.

Also, on Sunday, Aug. 21, the Figure Skating Club will host an open house at the Motto McLean rink from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Those who attend will be treated to free ice skating lessons, games and goodies.
