National search to begin soon for new nursing dean

A national firm will assist a 17-person UNMC committee in the search for a new dean of the College of Nursing.

Nominations

Nominations for internal and external candidates for the position can be submitted to Dr. Linder at jlinder@unmc.edu.

The committee, led by Jim Linder, M.D., professor of pathology and executive director of UNeMed, and the firm, Korn/Ferry International, will soon start the national search to replace Virginia Tilden, D.N.Sc.

Dr. Tilden will retire in June. She has been nursing dean for the past seven years and has been in health care education for 36 years.
