Erin Plouzek
  • Name: Erin Plouzek
  • Hometown: Omaha
  • Time at UNMC: Seven months

What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

During the holidays, we were able to hold a potluck and it was great to see everyone together socializing and getting to taste foods from different cultures.

Our four brand values are leadership, excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

The white coat ceremony that is put on in the fall for the pharmacy students just entering the college is a big production and requires a lot of work. Departments have to work together and things have to be put in motion and come together at just the right time. From faculty to staff to student ambassadors, they all do a great job at working together to make sure it is a special event for those students.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I love to read and have since I was little. I won awards for reading in the school and went on to get my bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
  • I lived in Denison, Iowa, from age nine to 18.
  • I have attended hockey games since I was five years old. It’s my favorite sport!
