UNMC LiveGreen Pledge Races – Nursing vs. Allied Health

Follow the race

You can follow the Nursing/Allied Health contest at the UNMC LiveGreen Wall of Fame.

In today’s episode of the UNMC LiveGreen pledge races, the College of Nursing takes on the School of Allied Health Professions.

Business and Finance raised its pledge totals by eight percentage points on Friday to take the first pledge race. Can Nursing and/or Allied Health top Business and Finance’s efforts today?

Here’s how Nursing and Allied Health stack up as of Monday afternoon at 5 p.m.:

Pledge to your primary unit

At UNMC, many of us cross units within the context of our jobs. However, for the UNMC LiveGreen Pledge, please be sure to pledge to your primary unit, which is listed on the bottom of your employee ID badge.

  • College of Nursing — 36 percent of Nursing’s employees — or 93 people — had taken the pledge.
  • Allied Health — seven percent (numbers adjusted to add students) of the Allied Health workforce — or 33 people — had taken the pledge.

We’ll check the numbers again today at 5 p.m. to see which unit raised its percentage the most and report the winner in Wednesday’s UNMC Today.

Another pledge race will be held Friday as the Munroe-Meyer Institute takes on the Eppley Institute.
