The Amnesty Phase for the Dependent Eligibility Audit will end Monday (Feb. 28).
The Amnesty Phase is an opportunity for employees to remove ineligible dependents from the University of Nebraska medical and/or dental insurance plans in order to help the university keep its health care costs under control.
All ineligible dependents enrolled in the university’s medical and/or dental plans — including dependents ages 19 to 26 who are eligible for coverage through an employer-sponsored group medical plan — must be removed during the Amnesty Phase.
All employees enrolled in the university’s medical and/or dental plans AND who have dependents, should have received a letter at home from Chapman Kelly — the firm conducting the audit.

To drop ineligible dependents:
- Visit www.AuditOS.com; or
- Fax the information to Chapman Kelly at (888) 938-6161.
Your ID number for the audit process was included in your letter from Chapman Kelly.
Any dependent(s) not dropped during the Amnesty Phase will be subject to the audit and evidence of eligibility — such as birth and marriage certificates — will be required.
Employees who disenroll ineligible dependents during the Amnesty Phase will avoid disciplinary action by the university or action by the university to recover claims paid on behalf of the ineligible person(s).
If you remove an ineligible dependent during the Amnesty Phase, the dependent’s last date of group coverage will be Feb. 28.
