What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

My best memory is going to the UNMC Management Training Series and experiencing priceless training and instruction and then receiving this beautiful glass award for completing the series.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

Working under Dr. Tom Rosenquist has been a great example of leadership and commitment to excellence. Each and every day, I witness the amazing teamwork and dedication here in the vice chancellor for research office.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I lived in Frankenthal, Germany for four years and left to come back to the United States one week before the Berlin Wall came down.
  • I have three very active grandsons — William, 9; Marshal, 5; and Tyce, nine months. They keep me on my toes!
  • My grandfather Martin Kaiman survived the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster in World War II.
