Wide selection of pieces to be featured at Music as Medicine

Members of the Omaha Chamber Music Society will play a broad variety of selections during their concert today at noon in the Durham Outpatient Center.

Thursday’s concert is sponsored by UNMC’s Office of the Chancellor in support with UNMC’s Center for Continuing Education, the College of Pharmacy and the UNMC Human Resources Department.




The performance by Thomas Kluge, principal violist of the Omaha Symphony; Leslie Fagan, the symphony’s second flutist; and Amy Peterson-Stout, associate principal viola player in the symphony; is part of the Music as Medicine concert series.

Selections will include:

  • Wilhelm Friedemann Bach: Duet in g minor for Two Violas;
  • Georg Philipp Telemann: Duet in B-flat major for Flute and Viola;
  • Pietro Nardini: Duet in F major for Two Violas;
  • Francois Devienne: Duet in F major for Flute and Viola;
  • Pietro Nardini: Duet for Two Violas in E-flat major;
  • Francois Devienne: Duet in c minor for Flute and Viola; and
  • Wilhelm Friedemann Bach: Duet in G major for Two Violas.
