If you will be transitioning from an iPad to the new iPad 2, it is important to erase all data on the iPad prior to handing it off to the next recipient as the device may contain personal or confidential information and Lotus Notes certificates and data.
To do so:
- Turn on the device;
- Unlock it;
- Click “Settings”;
- Click “General”;
- Click “Reset” (found at the bottom of the screen);
- Click “Erase All Content and Settings”; and
- Click “Erase.”
The process will take about 10 minutes.
