The seminar will cover:

  • IP basics — patents, trademarks, know-how, and trade secrets;
  • Smart strategies for creating, organizing, managing and securing IP assets;
  • Commercialization — bringing IP to market;
  • Royalties and ideas for maximizing IP value and making money; and
  • A licensing game with an interactive deal negotiation.

A limited number of student and postdoc scholarships are available through UNeMed. In addition to breakfast and lunch, students and postdocs also will receive a one-year membership in LES.

The cost to attend the seminar is:

  • LES members and non-members — $195
  • University/government — $125
  • Non-member student — $35
