Special ‘Inside the Photograph’ tour and workshop for employees

UNMC, Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physician employees are invited to join the Durham Museum’s Curator, Carrie Wieners, on a “behind-the-picture” tour of the most renowned photographs featured in the “Capture the Moment: the Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographs” exhibition.

The workshop is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate families with valid identification badges, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.




When: May 18 at 6 p.m.

Where: The Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St.

What: The hour-long tour will include a “behind-the-scenes” demonstration of the current digitization initiative in the Durham’s 500,000 image photo archive; the largest photography archive in the city of Omaha.

Following the tour, retired Army Core of Engineers photographer and Durham volunteer, Robert (Bob) Etzel, will show participants tricks of the photography trade. Bring your camera and explore the photographic opportunities within one of Omaha’s best preserved historic buildings.
