What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

I had the opportunity to volunteer and help with Culturefest this year. It was a fun experience, and the entertainment and food from the various cultures were impressive. I hope to be able to volunteer next year.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

I am a volunteer for the UNMC LiveGreen committee. It is a privilege to work with the other volunteers who are dedicated to making this initiative a success for UNMC. They are hardworking individuals who come together and volunteer their time, efforts and ideas to reduce energy consumption that will have a long-term effect at UNMC, at home and for our planet.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I love to exercise. Running is my favorite form of exercise.
  • I am 100 percent Italian and come from a large, traditional Italian family with 14 aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. Growing up, the holidays were always fun, exciting and loud, and the food was fantastic.
  • I’ve lived in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Cranston, R.I., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Hattiesburg, Miss., and now Omaha. The fall in Rhode Island is the most beautiful I’ve experienced with the vibrant foliage.
