This painting by Anathbandhu (Andy) Chaudhuri, Ph.D., of the Eppley Institute is on sale at the Old Market Artists Gallery as part of the Art With A Purpose display. Proceeds from the painting sale benefit the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center.
Events currently listed on the calendar include:
  • Art With A Purpose Reception on Sept. 2 — During September at the Old Market Artists Gallery, 13 local professional artists will participate in “Art With A Purpose.” Three artists, including Anathbandhu (Andy) Chaudhuri, Ph.D., of the Eppley Institute and Kris Hammond of the UNMC Human Resources, will donate proceeds from the sale of their art to cancer research at the Eppley Cancer Center.
  • SHARING the Green on Sept. 9 — The event is the most important fundraiser of the year for the student-run UNMC SHARING Clinics as it helps offset the cost of clinic operations. Register now.
  • Night for Sight on Sept. 9 — The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science will launch its international division and Geoffrey Tabin, M.D., professor of ophthalmology at the University of Utah and the fourth person in history to climb Mt. Everest, will discuss his travels and international eye care efforts.
  • WalkRite for RiteCare on Sept. 11 — The second annual WalkRite for RiteCare supports the Scottish Rite Foundation’s RiteCare Clinics such as the one at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
