Call for FIRST Award pre-proposals

Pre-proposals for Nebraska EPSCoR’s FIRST Award grant program are due by 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3.

Nebraska EPSCoR’s FIRST Award grant program helps Nebraska early career faculty members initiate research programs.

Nebraska EPSCoR’s FIRST Award grant program offers up to $20,000 in matching funds to early-career faculty for research that could lead to a National Science Foundation CAREER Award.

This competitive program assists Nebraska early career faculty members initiate research programs.

Any project that could qualify for support by a National Science Foundation standard research grant is eligible for a FIRST Award.

Eligible faculty must be:

• Assistant professors in the first four years of a tenure-track position; and
  
• Also eligible to apply for an NSF CAREER Award during the grant period.
