Weekly e-Tip – No. 12

ITS will provide weekly e-Tips to help employees prepare for the new Outlook email system.

This week’s tip — how to export Lotus Notes contacts to Outlook

If you have a large number of Lotus Notes contacts, it is possible to export them Outlook. It is important that your addresses contain the userid@location. If the names appear in the Lotus Notes format such as John Doe/HR/UNMC/UNEBR, these address will not import into Outlook correctly. You would need to manually add them from the Outlook address book.

Contents of personal groups in Notes may be copied and pasted into Outlook groups. However, only internet format may work (not Lotus Notes format).
