Cancer facts the focus of tonight’s Science Cafe

Chandra Are, M.D.

Various types of cancer, how they are treated and advancements made in the fight against cancer will be the focus of tonight’s Omaha Science Cafe.

Chandra Are, M.D., an associate professor of surgical oncology, will present “Cancer: Know Your Facts” tonight at 7 p.m. at Slowdown.

Dr. Are also will discuss the initiative to build a new cancer center at UNMC.

Free pizza, available for the first 50 people, will be provided by Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures.
