Webinars focus on patient care, telehealth

The Nebraska Statewide Telehealth Network will sponsor a free educational webinar series for medical providers. The three-session series, “Expanding your practice and enhancing patient care through Telehealth,” kicks off March 29.

Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy will be on the UNMC campus to introduce the inaugural session and Greg Billings, executive director, Robert J. Waters Center for Telehealth & e-Health Law, headlines that first session: “Telehealth: An overview of reimbursement and regulatory issues.”

Future sessions

The schedule of future sessions is as follows:

  • April 12 — Thomas Magnuson, M.D., associate professor of psychiatry at UNMC, will present “The future is now: How can I use Telehealth to expand the care available to my patients?”
  • April 26 — UNMC’s Max Thacker and Lori Murante, Pharm.D., will present “IPhones, iPads, laptops and Droids welcome: What technologies are available to help me best use my time and serve my patients?”
