The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians will open a new endoscopy center in west Omaha Sept. 7.
The Village Pointe Endoscopy Center — which is at 111 N. 175th St., inside of The Nebraska Medical Center Cancer Center — is taking appointments for routine colonoscopies. This screening is extremely effective in detecting polyps, which can become tumors.
The Village Pointe Endoscopy Center will focus on providing colon cancer screenings and prevention education.
Grant Hutchins, M.D., and Gary Volentine, M.D., both assistant professors of internal medicine at UNMC, will perform colonoscopy procedures at the Village Pointe Endoscopy Center on Mondays and Fridays.
