Weekly eTip — Changing recurring calendar entries

Did you know if you change the series on recurring calendar entries, all previous entries are updated to include the new changes?

For example, if you change the location, it will appear on all entries in the series. If you change the end date, or add information to other fields or the message, anything that has been added to an individual entry (such as meeting notes, etc.) within that series will get deleted.

If you are prompted with “Any exceptions associated with this recurring appointment will be canceled,” you may want to think twice before you click “OK.”

Instead, copy an existing repeating meeting (hold “CTRL” as you drag to another date) and open the new entry and make changes to the new series. When creating recurring meetings, it is recommended you change the “No end date” for recurring entries to include no more than one year.
