Plate painters needed for Arts for Hearts show
Painters are being sought to contribute to the sixth annual Arts for Hearts Art Show and Silent Auction. The event, which is sponsored by the C. Louis Meyer Foundation, will be held in the Durham Outpatient Center’s Central Atrium (second floor of the outpatient center near the gift shop) on Wednesday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Low-vision center offers new hope for those with sight problems
As an ophthalmologist, Carl Camaras, M.D., says there’s nothing more frustrating than not being able to help patients with their vision issues.
The Weigel Williamson Center for Visual Rehabilitation will help reduce such experiences for the region’s ophthalmologists, Dr. Camaras said Friday at a groundbreaking for the new center.

Nursing students present research, receive awards at colloquium
UNMC College of Nursing students participated in a graduate student research colloquium in early April. Eighteen posters and two oral presentations were presented during the colloquium, which was co-sponsored by the college, Gamma Pi Chapter-At-Large and Sigma Theta Tau International.
