Workshop on research and education funding opportunities
On Dec. 13, the UNMC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research will host a two-hour workshop on federal funding opportunities focused on research and education. The workshop will cover proposal review processes and available grant funding at the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Leuenberger earns Wellness Council leadership award

Lyal Leibrock, M.D., professor of surgery and former longtime chief of the section of neurosurgery at UNMC, died Sunday at his Omaha home from colon cancer. He was 64.

Jennifer Audi, M.D., is among the many new faculty members on the UNMC campus. Dr. Audi is an assistant professor with the section of emergency medicine in the department of surgery. She also is assistant medical director for The Nebraska Regional Poison Center.
