Equipment

The Nanoimaging Core Facility is equipped with four major pieces of equipment:

BioAFM w/ Inverted Optical MicroscopeBioAFM

An integrated BioAFM (MFP 3D, Asylum Research/Oxford Instruments) combined with inverted optical microscope (Olympus IX71).
Capabilities: Imaging in air and liquid. Force spectroscopy mode. Nanolithography. Nanoindentation. Cell imaging and manipulation.

MultiMode AFM

Stand-alone MultiMode AFM system with Nano IV controller (Bruker Nano).
Capabilities: High resolution imaging in air and liquid. Newly upgraded with 10 micrometer piezostage and a fluid cell.

AFM Force Robot

AFM Force Robot-FR300

The AFM Force Robot-FR300 (JPK).
Capabilities: Automated measurements of intermolecular interactions. Biomechanical properties (elasticity measurements of fibers, cells and tissues).

Ntegra-Spectra AFM/RamanNtegra-Spectra AFM/Raman

Ntegra-Spectra (NT-MDT) a Combined AFM/Raman with Tip-Enhanced Raman Scattering capability.
Capabilities: Imaging in air and liquid. Raman spectroscopy and confocal Raman microscopy. Surface enhanced and Tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. 20+ modes including conductive AFM, Kelvin Probe microscopy.
