College of Allied Health Professions Dean
Tammy L. Webster, PhD, MPA, RT(R)(M)(ARRT), FAEIRS, serves as dean of the College of Allied Health Professions at UNMC. She holds a doctor of philosophy from UNMC, a master of public administration from UNO, a bachelor of science in radiation science technology from UNMC, and graduate certificate in education law and policy from the University of Georgia at Athens, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary foundation in education, leadership and clinical practice.
A recognized leader in allied health education, Dr. Webster brings more than two decades of experience in academic leadership, faculty development, and health professions education.
As dean, Dr. Webster provides strategic vision and administrative oversight for one of the nation’s comprehensive colleges of allied health, supporting academic excellence, innovation in teaching and learning, interprofessional education and workforce development. Her leadership emphasizes student success, faculty empowerment, accreditation excellence and operational effectiveness aligned with UNMC’s mission as a leading academic health science center.
Dr. Webster joined UNMC early in her career and has held progressively senior leadership roles including executive associate dean, associate dean for academic affairs, assistant dean for academic affairs, program director, clinical education coordinator and faculty member. She is a tenured professor in the College of Allied Health Professions.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Webster’s research and publications focus on health professions education and policy, critical thinking, e‑learning and digital pedagogy and women in leadership. Her work appears in national and international peer‑reviewed journals.
Dr. Webster is widely engaged in leadership development at the national level. She is a graduate of the Association of American Medical Colleges LEAD Certificate Program, the Stanford Design Thinking Bootcamp and multiple interprofessional and academic leadership initiatives. She is a Fellow of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences, an honor recognizing sustained contributions to education, scholarship, and professional service.
