Register for UNMC family day at Strategic Air & Space Museum

UNMC employees and their families are invited to The Strategic Air & Space Museum for a Free Family Day on Saturday, Nov. 17.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is part of a partnership between UNMC and the museum.

A robotic adventure

Highlighted at the museum is “Robots: The Interactive Exhibition” featuring characters from the movie “Robots,” which demonstrates through education and fun how robots can better our lives.

UNMC surgical robots are on display at the museum for the exhibition.

Free lunch and additional programs

Free lunch will be provided in Hanger A from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for the first 500 who RSVP.

UNMC employees who would like to participate in additional programming that the museum will present that day such as a “Family Robot Workshop” or “Lego Mindstorms 101” should contact Kaitlyn Preston at 402-944-3100 ext. 209 to pre-register (the workshops are offered at a discounted rate for UNMC employees).

The museum is at 28210 West Park Highway near Ashland, or just north of Exit 426 of Interstate 80.

Admission is for immediate family only, which includes two adults and up to six children younger than 20. Any additional adults or children will need to pay the normal admission price.
