UNMC students are invited to come celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Student Life Center addition from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 on the lawn north of the Student Life Center.

To our friends in the Maurer Center for Public Health and the Student Life Center: We hope you come join the fun and forgive us if the noise from this exciting event distracts from your work day.
The event will feature smoothies, trail-mix bars, massages, an inflatable obstacle course and outdoor games with fitness-themed prizes. Students will have a chance to win a Garmin Vivofit, $50 Scheels gift cards and a free membership to UNMC’s fitness center.
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature remarks at 3:30 p.m.
In case of rain, the event will be held in the Student Life Center gym.
I don't see a parking garage in the picture — is it behind the building?! Or if students all have to park a mile away and walk, then we won't need more fitness center space!
