To ensure the health and safety of campuses and communities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, UNMC’s December commencement ceremony will be held virtually.
Winter commencement is scheduled for Dec. 18. Approximately 300 students are expected to receive their diplomas from UNMC.
Campus leaders are planning for a single ceremony for the Colleges of Allied Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health, as well as Graduate Studies. The ceremony will be recorded and available for streaming. Details will be announced at a later date.
Colleges are considering some in-person convocation ceremonies, but no final decisions have been made. Graduate Studies will have a convocation ceremony on Dec. 17 with limited guests. Details to follow.
Due to COVID-19, UNMC’s spring commencement ceremonies also were held online. As a result, UNMC’s 2020 graduates will have the opportunity to participate in a future in-person ceremony.
