Truhlsen Events Center and atrium closed for repairs

Beginning today, the Truhlsen Events Center and atrium will be closed inside the Sorrell Center for ceiling repairs.

Construction workers will add additional support brackets to the ceiling tiles in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center and south atrium area outside of the ballroom. The work will be divided into the following phases to limit closures and disruptions to traffic flow:

  • Phases one and two: May 16 to May 26 – The Truhlsen Campus Events Center will be closed.
  • Phase three: May 27 to June 1 – The Sorrell Center first floor atrium, MSC 1005 and the southwest and southeast entrances to the Sorrell Center building will be closed.
  • Phase four: June 2-6 – The east end of the Sorrell Center first floor atrium and southeast entrance to the Sorrell building will be closed.

Signage will be posted on doors and in hallways during closure times. Faculty, staff and students should plan to use an alternate entrance/exit to the building.
