Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in an all-campus forum with UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, on Thursday, June 2, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
Dr. Gold will be joined online by Anne Barnes, UNMC’s new vice chancellor for business, finance and business development, and Mark Rupp, MD, chief of the UNMC Division of Infectious Diseases and Nebraska Medicine's medical director of epidemiology and infection control.
The campus will have the opportunity to learn more about Barnes, who joins UNMC after serving as senior associate dean for administration and finance at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Attendees also will hear more about recent increases in COVID-19 transmission and test positivity rates, as well as global cases of monkeypox.
Dr. Gold will discuss the latest on COVID-19 and campus safety guidelines and take audience questions.
Attendees can view the forum online via Zoom. An American Sign Language interpreter will take part in the event.
